PROMLEM STATEMENT
With social media only growing day by day any info and promotion of it is very easy to get hands on and acquire. The problem with fast paced social media and its users is the brief information being provided and the short attention span of the current users easily misleads them or gives them very short amount of information which does little to no good and is often twisted and turned when on a growing platform and in trends, it is often interpreted in people's own ways which leaves a lot of gaps in the actual meaning and definition of the topic. This has recently been the case for Alt Subcultures and communities, the meaning and elements have been reused and interpreted in many ways and over the years especially in the recent ones they have lost the meaning they originally stood for

RESEARCH
PUNK
Punk subculture includes a diverse and widely known array of ideologies, fashion, and other forms of expression, visual art, dance, literature and film. It is largely characterized by anti-establishment views, the promotion of individual freedom, DIY ethics, and is centred on a loud, aggressive genre of rock music called punk rock. Early punk fashion adapted everyday objects for aesthetic effect: ripped clothing was held together by safety pins or wrapped with tape, safety pins and razor blades were used as jewellery. Also popular have been leather, rubber, and PVC clothing.

RESEARCH
a hipster is a member of a subculture that is defined by claims to authenticity and uniqueness. The subculture embodies a particular ethic of consumption which seeks to commodify the idea of rebellion or counterculture. Fashion is one of the major markers of hipster identity. Stereotypical elements include vintage clothes, alternative fashion, or a mixture of different fashions, often including skinny jeans, checked shirts, knit beanies, a full beard or deliberately attention grabbing moustache, and thick-rimmed or lens less glasses.

GRUNGE
Grunge is a sub-genre of alternative rock that emerged during the mid-1980s. Often characterised by a sludgy guitar sound that uses a high level of distortion, fuzz and feedback effects, grunge fuses elements of hardcore punk and heavy metal. Lyrics are typically angst-filled, often addressing themes such as social alienation, apathy, confinement, and a desire for freedom. Clothing commonly worn by grunge musicians in Washington consisted of thrift store/charity shop items and the typical outdoor clothing (most notably flannel shirts) of the region, as well as a generally unkempt appearance

CONCLUSION
The main objective of this project was to create awareness about Alt Subcultures and its relation to sustainality, as the target demographic largely consisted of teenagers and young adults, social media seemed like the ideal platform to promote this idea. I had a lot of fun experimenting and researching about this topic, thank you to my mentor for guiding me through.
